Makiwara is designed for hanging on the wall, it is made of durable fabric (canvas). It comes unfulfilled. Makiwara is used for practicing techniques and hardening of impact surfaces and for strengthening joints. This is what fighters use mainly in martial arts like kung fu, wing chun, wing tsun, karate and more.
